Some sections can't show anything until you give them something to show. A button needs a link. A list needs at least one card. Until then the section isn't finished, and visitors don't see it.
How to spot one
In the editor, an unfinished section has a faint dashed outline. Where it would be, the page shows a small card with the section's name and a button.
Open its settings
- Press Open its settings on the card. You can also click the section, or Tab to the button and press Enter.
- The section's settings open beside the page.
- Look for the note next to the box that needs you. It says what's missing, such as "A button needs a link."
- Fill it in. Once the section has what it needs, it shows on the page.
Your work saves by itself, so there's nothing else to press.
When the fix is somewhere else
Some sections need something set up elsewhere in the console, such as online giving, a form or your bishop's profile. They show a badge naming what's needed, with a Set it up link.
Before you publish
When you press Publish, a box called Before you publish lists every unfinished section, each with Go to it. Press Finish them to go back, or Publish anyway. Unfinished sections are left off the live page. See Publishing and drafts.
