The librarian and the principal look after the library: they add books, lend them, take them back and mark a book lost. Other staff can look at books and loans, but they don't see the buttons to change them. If someone without the Librarian role opens one of those pages, it tells them to ask the principal.

The library page

Library shows how many books you have, how many are out, how many are overdue and how many students are borrowing. A loan is overdue from the day after it was due. Press the Overdue tile to see those loans.

Add a book

  1. Open Library, then All books, and press Add a book.
  2. Type the Title. Add the Author if you like.
  3. Type the Shelf number, the label on the book's spine. Each book has its own.
  4. Add the ISBN if you like, and the Number of copies.
  5. Press Add book.

Lend a book

  1. Press Lend a book. On a book's page, press Lend this book and the book is already picked.
  2. Choose the Book. Only books with a copy on the shelf are listed.
  3. Choose the Student borrowing it. Only current students are listed.
  4. Check Due back on. It starts two weeks from today. Change it if you need to.
  5. Press Lend book.

Take a book back

  1. Open All loans and choose the loan.
  2. Under Close this loan, press Mark returned.

If a copy is gone for good, press Mark lost instead. EcclesiaOne asks first. The loan closes and the library has one copy fewer. If it turns up later, add it back on the book's page.

Change or archive a book

Open the book, use Change this book, then Save changes. To take a book out of the library, press Archive. EcclesiaOne asks first. The book leaves the lists and Lend a book, and its loan history stays. To get it back, open the Archived view of the books and press Bring back.
