My dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Advent is a time of waiting with hope. I ask every parish to keep the four Sundays of Advent with the Advent wreath, and every family to light a candle at home and pray together.

This Advent I ask three things of the archdiocese:

1. Go to confession before Christmas. Every parish will have extra times for confession in the third week of Advent.
2. Visit one person who is sick or alone.
3. Give to the Christmas collection for the poor in your parish.

Come, Lord Jesus.

With my blessing,
